Dominik Szoboszlai could be on the move this summer, and the 22-year-old Newcastle target has been told that a move to the Premier League is his best option.
That is the view of Hertha Berlin coach and former Hungary international Tamas Bodog, who has spoke about Szoboszlai in a recent interview.
The attacking midfielder is on Newcastle’s radar this summer, as Eddie Howe looks to enhance his squad ahead of competing in the Champions League. The RB Leipzig star would be a major addition, and is someone who fans are very keen to see arrive at St James’ Park.
However, he will not be cheap. He currently has a release clause worth £60million, which Newcastle think is too much. But that release clause is due to expire at the end of this month, meaning his asking price could actually be even higher come July.
Newcastle’s interest in Szoboszlai coincides with their pursuit of James Maddison, who is also an option for Tottenham.

If the England international chooses Spurs, it is clear that Newcastle must go all in for Szoboszlai, and Bodog has backed the Hungarian to take his game to the next level in England.
Szoboszlai told that Premier League move is his ‘best choice’
The Hertha Berlin assistant manager Bodog spoke about Szoboszlai in a recent interview with Hungarian website Index, and described him as a ‘sensational’ player, before discussing a possible summer transfer.
“If he changes, I think only England is a clear step forward for him,” he said.
“Of course, there are top teams in Italy, France and Spain, but I think the Premier League would be the best choice for him. He could develop even further there.”
Bodog added: “If he goes to Newcastle now, or to another English team, and for big money, he will have to produce something every week, much more focussed, and hen maybe he will be in the crossfire.”

He can massively improve at Newcastle
There will be huge expectation if Szoboszlai arrives at St James’ Park. He would likely be a big money signing, and that always puts players under pressure.
But Szoboszlai looks like someone who can rise to it, and is a player who still has a long way to go in his career. He can still improve massively, and that is why Newcastle could be the best place for him.
So many players have enhanced their game under Eddie Howe’s guidance – he has a clear talent for making his players better, as long as they buy into his methods.
Bodog believes that Szoboszlai could develop his game even further by moving to the Premier League, and hopefully that results in a switch from Leipzig to Newcastle.
