Former Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson is set to stay in the Premier League after leaving the Magpies following an agreement with a club he knows well.
After five memorable seasons, the 33-year-old confirmed his departure from the club to explore other opportunities.
Callum Wilson had been offered a new deal at Newcastle United, with the belief that it was on the basis that he would be paid per appearance, rather than given a weekly wage. Wilson rejected the offer, and he has been subject to interest from several clubs.
Neil Warnock said Wilson should sign for Leeds United, with the argument being that Daniel Farke will be aware of what he is getting with the England star. Elsewhere, Wilson reportedly offered himself to Manchester United, who are desperate to sign a new striker this summer.
However, it looks like Wilson has now made his decision on who his next club will be. A new transfer report has shared that terms have been agreed over a move.

Callum Wilson agrees terms with West Ham after Newcastle United exit
After weeks of speculation, Wilson looks like he has finally found his new club, and he will be staying in the Premier League.
According to TalkSPORT, Wilson has agreed terms with West Ham United, a club he loved playing against with the Magpies.
The report states that Wilson’s agent, Will Salthouse, has a close relationship with David Sullivan and approached the Hammers owner over a move for the striker. In response, West Ham have offered Wilson a ‘minimal salary’ with bonuses for goals and appearances.
West Ham’s offer is believed to be similar to that of Newcastle’s pay-as-you-play deal, but the finances may be slightly better than what was offered by Eddie Howe.
For the first time in five years, Wilson will be a rival of Newcastle, rather than a part of the team.
West Ham fans do not want to sign Callum Wilson
Wilson recalled the atmosphere at Upton Park in 2022; he could soon be a West Ham player lighting up the London Stadium next season.
It remains to be seen what sort of role Wilson will have at West Ham, whether he will be a first-choice player or someone who comes off the bench. Either way, the news of his possible arrival has not been met well by West Ham fans.
Speaking on social media, West Ham fans called Wilson’s signing a ‘joke‘, with some even claiming they would have preferred signing 37-year-old Jamie Vardy over him.
The striker goes to West Ham with a point to prove; he will be aware of the noise surrounding his fitness, form and future, so he will be keen to kick on and make the most of what he has left in his career.
Wilson returns to the South after five seasons in the North East. There will be a lot of pressure on him to perform.
