Newcastle United may find life difficult in the January transfer window.
Indeed, while things are going very well on the pitch right now, the situation on the transfer front for Newcastle could prove slightly more arduous.
Sadly for Eddie Howe, PSR limitations are believed to remain in play and there have been suggestions that Newcastle may not sign anyone at all next month.
Luckily, the Newcastle United manager has made things work on the pitch of late. Up into fifth and on a five-game winning streak across all competitions, optimism is high once again.

Still, while it would be nice to see Howe’s squad strengthened during the New Year sales, it just does not look very likely as things stand.
In fact, a rather unwelcome update has now been sent in regards to a certain Bryan Mbeumo.
Tipped as the club’s dream signing on the right wing, Brentford manager Thoms Frank has now sent a message over the forward.
Thomas Frank says “good luck” to clubs trying to sign Newcastle target Bryan Mbeumo

Asked by Sky Sports if he had a message for teams keen to sign the Cameroon international, Frank hinted it would take an awful lot of money.
“Those [interested] clubs in January? I would say good luck,” he replied.
“We love Bryan. He loves playing here, he’s had a fantastic season, so nothing will happen.”
Newcastle have been backed to make a move for a new right winger
Whether it ultimately proves to be Mbeumo or not, Newcastle have been tipped to strengthen at right-wing.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, after all, predicted that’s where the club’s next big transfer signing will come after watching Howe’s side thrash Manchester United on Monday night.
While not to downplay some of Jacob Murphy’s performances this season, it certainly looks the next logical step.
A player like Mbeumo lining up alongside Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon in attack really would complete the team.
Signing one, however, looks easier said than done…
