Newcastle United are expected to be rather busy in the summer transfer window.
After a relatively fallow period on the incomings front for Newcastle United, all that could change this summer.
Indeed, Newcastle believe they can spend this summer, having seemingly come through the very worst of their problems with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
One of the main areas to target surely has to be the signing of a new right-winger.
Miguel Almiron left Newcastle in January, leaving only Jacob Murphy as a recognised option there.
Murphy has been in fine form this season but will need cover and competition in equal measure ahead of next season.
Plenty of names on that front have been linked. One of those is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, hailed as an “absolute star” by Jamie Redknapp (via the Premier League’s official website) earlier this season.

Antoine Semenyo transfer development amid Newcastle United interest
According to The Independent, the Ghana international is considering his future on the south coast.
Newcastle have been linked with Semenyo, while this report suggests all of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United also retain an interest.
Still, that trio of Premier League giants may instead focus their attention on a left-sided forward this summer, potentially opening up some hope for Newcastle.
Semenyo is expected to leave the Cherries this summer, along with reported Newcastle transfer target Dean Huijsen.
Antoine Semenyo price tag could break Newcastle United transfer record
Alexander Isak is Newcastle’s most expensive signing of all time at around £63million, though reports suggest the 25-year-old Bournemouth star could cost even more than that.
Bournemouth reportedly value Semenyo at £70million, such has been the level of his form this season.
| Starts | Goals | Assists |
| 29 | 7 | 5 |
The Ghanaian has scored seven goals while registering five assists in 29 Premier League appearances this season and still has four years to run on his contract, so the south coast side are hardly under any pressure to sell on the cheap.
