Newcastle United fans will be able to watch this morning’s CAT hearing, as we reach the latest stage of the ongoing takeover saga.
The case will be live-streamed, with a link set to be available via the Competition Appeal Tribunal’s Twitter account.
The news excited Toon fans on September 20th, but there is a catch.
CAT have a set of rules for cases being live-streamed, one of which regards recording proceedings.

In a document titled ‘Livestream hearings: Guidance for the public’, people are warned that they must not record the hearing.
“It is not permitted for any person to record a livestream hearing and breach of this requirement will constitute contempt of court.”
This is massively important and very simple. Do not record anything. Do not share anything. Just watch and listen.

But fans are excited to witness today’s hearing, despite not knowing what it will bring. It is hard to know what to expect.
A positive result would be great news for Newcastle United, helping Ashley in his case to resurrect the deal. Bad news and all hope seems to rest on 2022’s arbitration hearing.
