Mike Ashley’s CAT hearing is set to take place next week, and Newcastle fans will be able to tune in.

The Toon owner has two legal challenges on the go as he looks to resurrect the Saudi takeover, after the deal collapsed last summer.

Despite a price being agreed between Ashley and PCP Capital Partners, the Premier League refused to give a yes or no answer to their Owners’ and Directors’ test.

The arbitration hearing has been delayed until early next year, while Ashley’s other case is about to come to the forefront.

The anti-competition case will look at how the Premier League conducted themselves during the takeover saga, as Ashley looks for damages and an injunction to permit the takeover.

If Ashley wins this case, we all win. However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not it will actually go ahead.

The Premier League have appealed (and delayed matters), and on Wednesday September 29th, jurisdiction will take place. This is where it will be decided whether or not the case should go ahead.

And in positive news for Toon fans, they will be able to see exactly what happens.

As reported by Newcastle World, the hearing will be live-streamed by CAT. It is set to take place at 10.30am, and the link will be available to click on at 9am that morning.

Fans are ecstatic at this news – hopefully it will be worth tuning in for.
