Erik ten Hag is one of the biggest names still being linked with the Newcastle United job.

In recent days there has been a lot of talk about Ten Hag, especially since rumours emerged that his Ajax colleague Marc Overmars is a contender for the director of football job.
According to the Daily Mail, the new Toon owners would like to hire Ten Hag, and are prepared to pay big bucks to get him.
They report that the Dutchman could earn £11million-a-year at St James’ Park, which would make him the third best paid manager in the Premier League behind Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.
Ten Hag reportedly has reservations about leaving Ajax for Newcastle, which is fair enough when you consider where the two clubs are right now.
But if the Magpies are truly committed to bringing the 51-year-old to St James’ Park then they better get a move on.
Newcastle could soon face competition for Erik ten Hag
While Newcastle are looking for a new manager, Manchester United fans want rid of theirs.
The Red Devils lost 5-0 to Liverpool on Sunday, piling the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian reportedly isn’t going anywhere yet, but the Sun claim that Man United have a shortlist of possible replacements should things get any worse.
And one name that is reportedly on that shortlist is Erik ten Hag.
And with a string of difficult fixtures on the horizon for Man United, the end could be nigh for Solskjaer. Their next three games are Tottenham away, Atalanta away and Manchester City at home.
If things go against Solskjaer in those three games, he could be relieved of his duties. And that could mean Man United approach Ten Hag about the possibility of moving to Old Trafford.
While a move to Newcastle United isn’t too appealing right now, you could see why he would perhaps consider Man United.
If PIF, Amanda Staveley and co are serious about wanting Ten Hag as manager, they need to make their move now before it’s too late.
