A decision has been made, and it looks like Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be joining Newcastle United on loan.
The Magpies have been linked with signing the Chelsea winger, amid claims that he would be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
Hudson-Odoi is one of four Chelsea players who Newcastle want to sign, but Eddie Howe looks set to miss out here.
It was claimed that Newcastle were the favourites and that the 21-year-old fancied a move to St James’ Park. However, he’s heading elsewhere.

The one-time England international has reportedly decided to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan. He will be able to play Champions League football for the Bundesliga side, and play in the same team as former Toon target Moussa Diaby.
It’s a blow for Newcastle, but it will hopefully push another Chelsea player towards St James’ Park.
Newcastle need Pulisic after Hudson-Odoi decision
While Newcastle look set to miss out on Hudson-Odoi, another one of their Chelsea targets is still available. Christian Pulisic is another Blue who the Magpies are keen to sign.

The American looks likely to leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes, having grown frustrated by the limited opportunities given to him by Thomas Tuchel. He hasn’t started a game so far this season, making three appearances off the bench.
Pulisic was keen to join Manchester United, but that won’t happen. Chelsea don’t want to deal with a direct rival. However, a move to Newcastle hasn’t been ruled out.
And the 23-year-old is the next Chelsea player who Dan Ashworth should prioritise.

We’ve also been linked with Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher. The former may not be needed if Joao Pedro arrives, while the latter probably isn’t as urgent as someone like Pulisic.
Newcastle desperately need to sign another winger. We need to add more quality out wide, and the USA international would certainly provide that. He’s an ‘unbelievable‘ player, and someone who could thrive in the North East.
It would be a real coup if we can get him on loan, and hopefully Newcastle push to bring him in after missing out on Hudson-Odoi.
