Callum Wilson celebrated with a macarena after scoring against West Ham last week, after he won a bet between himself and Hammers striker Michail Antonio.
Wilson and Antonio appear on the Footballer’s Football Podcast together, and agreed that one would have to do the macarena in front of the other if they scored when the Magpies and the Hammers met.
Newcastle‘s number nine did just that, keeping up his brilliant record against West Ham by netting a brace in last week’s 5-1 win.
The 31-year-old opened the scoring with a header, and celebrated by doing the macarena in front of the home fans. It gave Wilson the bragging rights over his podcast co-host, and now they have discussed what happened on the latest episode of the Footballer’s Football Podcast.
Antonio ignored Wilson at the London Stadium
On the first episode since Newcastle beat West Ham, Wilson admitted that Antonio has not spoke to him since the final whistle.

“Michail, I know you were proud of it,” he said.
“You’ve not spoken to me since the game, or even at the game! You’ve just ignored me. So this is the first time we’re speaking!”
He added: “Michail was like brace in your face, and all this nonsense so I was like wait until I see this guy but after the game he was nowhere to be seen.”
Last laugh for Wilson
There was a lot of ‘banter’ in the buildup to the game, but in the end it was Wilson who had the last laugh. He scored twice as Newcastle absolutely battered the Hammers.

It must have been a painful night for Antonio, made worse by the fact that his pal bagged a brace. He later admitted that he will not be having any more bets with the Newcastle striker, as his record against West Ham is just too good.
Wilson got the bragging right over his mate, and did his best to rub it in. He comes across as such a windup merchant, which must make him a great character to have at St James’ Park.
Kieran Trippier has previously admitted that Wilson loves a joke, always mocking the right-back for his height. But it is just ‘banter’ as they say, and highlights the camaraderie behind the scenes at Newcastle.
On two occasions this season, Antonio has been shown up by Wilson. And that is exactly why he ignored him, and exactly why there will be no more bets.
