While team spirit is hard to quantify exactly, Newcastle United appear to have it in abundance.
Though, clearly, it is nigh-on impossible to have a 360-degree view of what goes on behind the scenes at a club, it seems safe to assume that Newcastle is a happy camp.
The club’s star player in Bruno Guimaraes has confirmed he wants to stay and is happy at St James’ Park. The team have been a remarkable rise for almost two years now. The owners are popular amongst supporters.

Indeed, there is little indication that the club is not a happy place these days.
So it’s particularly interesting to hear little snippets from behind the scenes.
What Sean Longstaff and Alexander Isak are teasing each other about behind the scenes
Indeed, The Athletic have lifted the lid somewhat on the relationship between Sean Longstaff and Alexander Isak.
Two of the club’s key players appear to have something of a rivalry when it comes to Swedish football.
Longstaff’s father was a professional ice-hockey player and played for Djurgarden’s team in that sport.
Djurgarden are the fierce rivals of Isak’s boyhood club AIK and the pair are said to tease each other about the rivalry in Stockholm.

What a small world football is
It’s incredible to think Isak and Longstaff have that kind of connection.
Football looks a small world. While played across the planet, to have two players with no obvious connection prior to Isak’s arrival at Newcastle have something so random in common is fascinating.
After Isak scored against Wolves in March, Longstaff asked him how he was so good.
Clearly, the rivalry isn’t causing too much of a problem…
