Newcastle United are reportedly moving full steam ahead in their attempts to strengthen ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Magpies will be back in the Champions League next season and are seemingly on the lookout for some big name reinforcement.
While Eddie Howe’s squad have taken Newcastle so far, few would doubt it needs bolstering to truly compete.

With that in mind, plenty of big names are being linked and, according to reports in Italy, tentative moves have begun.

The Croatia midfielder could reportedly leave the Italian giants this summer and Howe is said to be keen to bring him to Newcastle.
Though competition could be fierce, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have provided an interesting update.
They claim the Magpies and PSG have made their initial interest tentatively clear and the 30-year-old’s future could be resolved after the Champions League final in Istanbul next week.

Champions League experience could be crucial for Newcastle
Be it Brozovic or another player, Champions League experience could be absolutely crucial for Newcastle this summer.
Not many of Howe’s squad will have often played in Europe’s elite club competition, aside from a few of the bigger names.
Fabian Schar, Kieran Trippier, Alexander Isak, Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes have operated on that level but not many of the others.
To bring in players boasting big experience on that front feels important. If Howe’s side are going to make an impact on the grandest stage, some added nous on that level can surely only be a good thing.
