Sandro Tonali was back on the scoresheet as Newcastle United breezed past Manchester United.
The Italian has been sensational all season, but he has turned up the tempo in the last few games in particular.
Sandro Tonali scored a wondergoal against Brentford a week ago and linked up beautifully with Alexander Isak to open the scoring at St James’ Park on Sunday, his second goal in as many games at home.
Newcastle’s 4-1 win against Manchester United saw the Magpies leapfrog the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City into the top four, giving them all the impetus they need to finish the season on a high and return to the Champions League.
Harvey Barnes was Newcastle’s hero of the day as he continues to deliver. Anthony Gordon returned to Newcastle’s matchday squad, replacing Barnes late on, but it is difficult to see how he can get back into the starting XI while his fellow Englishman is in such good form.
While fans enjoy another sensational win, an unseen moment from Tonali was spotted before the Magpies’ fourth goal.

Sandro Tonali’s celebration before Newcastle United’s fourth goal
The win against Man United felt like another day in the office for Newcastle. Roy Keane claims Newcastle are used to winning big games now, their incredible record against the ‘big-six’ this season shows he makes a great point.
While Bruno Guimaraes’ excessive celebrations make Newcastle players laugh, they are sure to love to see that Tonali had already begun celebrating the Magpies’ fourth goal, even before Guimaraes controlled the ball.
Replays showed that when Joelinton intercepted Altay Bayindir’s attempt to play the ball long, Tonali had his hands up as if he already knew that Guimaraes was going to finish.
Newcastle are back at St James’ Park on Wednesday night as they take on Crystal Palace. Fans will be hoping that Tonali can get himself back on the scoresheet after his heroics in the last two home games.
Alexander Isak’s misery despite Newcastle United win
Isak bagged the assist for Tonali’s goal, but has now failed to find the back of the net in his last two games. The Swede was denied a goal thanks to a fine save from Bayindir in the first half, but barely got a look in apart from that.
Despite that, Isak was still eager to find the back of the net and made a charging run alongside Guimaraes before the fourth goal. However, the Brazilian had already made up his mind to shoot, much to the dismay of Isak.
The 25-year-old could be seen putting his head down, in apparent frustration that Guimaraes did not square the ball to him.
Isak made history with his last Newcastle goal, becoming the first player to score 20 goals in consecutive Premier League seasons for the club.
Even though he did not score, he still showed immense quality to loop the ball to Tonali for the opener.
