Eddie Howe will hope to continue Newcastle United’s impressive Champions League form against Marseille, while he also has the chance to make history.
The Magpies are looking to make it four consecutive Champions League wins on Tuesday night, and they are boosted by Anthony Gordon’s return to fitness.
However, he does not feature in Geordie Boot Boys’ predicted Newcastle United starting XI, with Harvey Barnes and Anthony Elanga out wide.
But having Gordon in the squad gives Eddie Howe more depth, and he is joined by a Newcastle United academy star who looks destined for the top.

Prediction for Marseille vs Newcastle United?
Sam Alabi could make Newcastle United debut in the Champions League
Sam Alabi travelled with the Newcastle United first-team squad to France on Monday, before taking part in training at the Stade Velodrome alongside the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Nick Woltemade.
It is an incredible opportunity for the 16-year-old, who is yet to make his senior debut for the Magpies.
If he does feature against Marseille on Tuesday night, he will become the youngest ever player to represent Newcastle United in Europe. He is expected to be on the bench for the Champions League encounter.

Lewis Miley is currently the youngest ever player to represent Newcastle in Europe. He made his first appearance when he was 17 years and 191 days old. That came in a 2-0 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund in November 2023.
Before Miley, the record belonged to former Toon striker Adam Campbell. His competitive debut for the club came in the Europa League against Atromitos when he was 17 years and 236 days old.

Sam Alabi is no stranger to the Newcastle United first-team
The fact Alabi is getting the chance to train with Howe’s side on the eve of a major Champions League away game speaks volumes about his ability and potential.
This is not the first time the young midfielder has brushed shoulders with the Magpies’ senior stars. Alabi trained with the first-team at 15-years-old, which is a ridiculous accomplishment.
During a recent interview, Alabi admitted he has improved because of his first-team exposure, as Newcastle United attempt to unearth the latest youngster who will follow in the footsteps of Lewis Miley, Elliot Anderson and Sean Longstaff.
