Newcastle United are gearing up to face Manchester United on Monday.
It’s a return to Old Trafford for Eddie Howe’s side who will be eager to avenge last season’s defeat and continue their fine run of form.
Newcastle’s win against Aston Villa means they are four games unbeaten in all competitions conceding just one goal in the process with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka replacing Nick Pope who is out with a knee ligament injury.
Alexander Isak is in red-hot form and carried on from his hat-trick against Ipswich to find the net while Anthony Gordon and Joelinton also got on the scoresheet.

It’s quite the opposite for the Red Devils who have won just one of their last four games with defeats coming against Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth and most recently Wolves.
Man United boss Ruben Amorim will be eager to bounce back from their poor run of form with a win against Newcastle but incidents in the defeat to Wolves on Thursday leave them without two important players.

Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte suspended for Newcastle game
In the midst of another defeat for Amorim’s side, the misery compiler is that they finished the game with 10 men.
Bruno Fernandes was sent off for the third time this season after picking up two yellow cards thus making him unavailable for Monday’s game against Newcastle. The Portuguese international has featured in all of Man United’s Premier League games this season scoring four goals and bagging five assists.
In his time at the club, Fernandes has faced Newcastle on 10 occasions across the Premier League and Carabao Cup, winning five of them with three goals and two assists to his name.
Alongside Fernandes, midfielder Manuel Ugarte was booked in the 54th minute putting his total for the season to five and handing him a one-game suspension.
It would’ve been the third time Ugarte faced Newcastle with the other two appearances coming in the Champions League including the Magpies’ 4-1 win against PSG at St James’ Park.
Two Newcastle players nearing suspension
Newcastle have also had a number of disciplinary problems this season with Joelinton and Dan Burn already receiving bans for picking up yellow cards.
The Brazilian Joelinton is currently sat on six yellows and could even be considered at risk of a two-game suspension with the cutoff for 10 bookings not reset until after 32 Premier League games have been played.
Both Sandro Tonali and Fabian Schar sit on four bookings with two games until the cards reset. Schar was sent off against Southampton at the start of the season but will miss another game should he be booked against Man United.
Tonali is loving his new role, now playing as a deeper midfielder but he needs to tread lightly at Old Trafford with a suspension looming for him.
If both players are booked on Monday they would miss an important game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on January 4th in what would be a big blow to Howe. Two other players not completely out of the woods yet are Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Hall who must avoid bookings for the next two games before being given a clean slate.
