Lewis Hall is now a Newcastle United player.
The defender joined on loan from Chelsea last summer and has since seen his move to Newcastle made into a permanent arrangement.
Eddie Howe has been talking up the 19-year-old for his start to pre-season and there should be hope he can player a bigger part during his first full campaign as a genuine Newcastle star.
Indeed, despite the fact there were concerns about his level of defending, the teenager actually ended the season strongly.
Having banked a season of experience under Howe, it’s time to kick on, with the coaching staff thought to rate Hall particularly highly.
Now, he’s opened up on what he feels is improving for him at the club.

Lewis Hall shares what is improving for him at Newcastle “quite rapidly”
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hall sounded confident that he was improving his defensive skills very quickly indeed, while also adding that he has been working on his fitness in order to get into a position where he can regularly play Howe’s demanding football.
“I’ve said this before,” he said.
“I think there’s being fit as a footballer, but then I think Newcastle is obviously another level to that. I think I wasn’t at that level when I first joined.
“I spent a couple of months getting to the levels required. After that, it was just about working on the defensive side of my game, which I feel like I’ve done quite rapidly.”
Lewis Hall set for a big role at Newcastle
We’ve seen players take a while to get up to speed before when it comes to working under Howe. Anthony Gordon, after all, endured a difficult first few months at the club before going on to star for the team in his first full season clad in black and white.
While suggesting Hall will get to that level is perhaps a touch too much, there is certainly a precedent set amongst his teammates.
Dan Burn is obviously highly rated by Howe, so overtaking him in the pecking order will no doubt be difficult – at least in the short-term.
Longer-term, however, there are reasons to be positive.
