Newcastle United will be full of confidence against Everton after their heroic comeback at the weekend, but Eddie Howe has fresh injury issues to consider.
The Magpies’ European bid is back underway after a dramatic 4-3 win over West Ham, with a Harvey Barnes brace handing Newcastle United a vital three points that moved them up to eighth in the Premier League.
Next up is Everton, who arrive at St James’ Park without a win in their last 12 games. They lost 2-1 to Bournemouth at the weekend, although Sean Dyche will have some confidence after his Toffees team beat Newcastle 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in December.
On top of that, Eddie Howe is going to have to make multiple changes to his Newcastle team, and this is the starting XI we predict he will go with against Everton on Tuesday night
Kieran Trippier returns against Everton
Tino Livramento started at right-back against West Ham on Saturday, but it looks like there will be a change in that position.
The 21-year-old was forced off in the second half with an ankle problem, and looks highly unlikely to feature on Tuesday night.
Livramento’s absence will hopefully coincide with Kieran Trippier returning to fitness. He has missed the Magpies’ last three games, including the win over West Ham. There was hope that he was going to be involved when he arrived at St James’ Park before kickoff, but the 33-year-old was not named in Howe’s squad.
If he does return, he will reclaim the captain’s armband. That is because Jamaal Lascelles suffered an ACL injury during Saturday’s win and could now be out for nine months.

Lewis Hall starts his second Premier League game for Newcastle
With Lascelles ruled out, there will be a reshuffle at the back. Dan Burn will have to play in the middle alongside Fabian Schar, which is his preferred position.
That will create a vacancy at left-back, and it should be taken by Lewis Hall. The 19-year-old has only started one Premier League game since signing for the Magpies, with Howe being fearful of his defensive qualities.
But Hall looked much sharper when he came on against West Ham, and was a real difference maker down the left. The £28million man showed great composure in possession, and looks to have really kicked on and developed as a player since joining the club.
Hall has waited a long time for another opportunity, with his last start coming in November during a 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth. That opportunity should come his way against Everton.
Harvey Barnes replaces Anthony Gordon
One man who will not feature against Everton is Anthony Gordon. He will be suspended against his former club after receiving a red card at the weekend.
Gordon was sent off for two yellow cards, with his second coming after he subtly kicked the ball away in stoppage time. He got caught, and will now be unavailable against the Toffees.
Harvey Barnes is certain to start in his place, and the 26-year-old will be full of confidence after his goals against West Ham on Saturday.
Predicted XI vs Everton: Dubravka; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall; Longstaff, Bruno, Willock; Murphy, Isak, Barnes.
