Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has been very honest about the Magpies’ defeat to Everton on Thursday night.
Bruno and co did not hit the heights that they are capable of, with Everton winning 3-0 to move out of the relegation zone.
Newcastle were so disappointing in multiple departments. Anthony Gordon squandered more than one opportunity on his return to Goodison Park, while Kieran Trippier’s sloppiness led to two of Everton’s goals.
For the fourth game in a row, Newcastle had to start the same 10 outfield players. On top of that, Eddie Howe still had no real options on the bench to change the game.
It all culminated in a defeat for the Magpies, while there were unsavoury scenes at full time as the Newcastle players clashed with Everton goalkeeper and Sunderland fan Jordan Pickford.
Bruno Guimaraes was involved in that altercation, and he has now taken to social media to comment on the defeat.

Bruno Guimaraes wants Newcastle to ‘stick together’ after Everton defeat
Following the 3-0 loss to Everton, Bruno took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account to send a message to supporters.
He wrote: “Very bad day in the office today! We stick together in the bad and the good moments! Always for you NUFC.”
Tottenham Hotspur are next for Newcastle
It truly was a very bad day at the office for Newcastle. They were second best in every department, which was such a shame after impressive performances against Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United.
But all Newcastle can do is dust themselves off and go again. They have no time to feel sorry for themselves, nor can they be angry about any kind of injustice. They were beaten by the better team, and simply have to move on.
And move on they will when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. It is going to be another tough game, especially with Eddie Howe struggling to find the magic formula away from St James’ Park.
But Spurs are not in great form, and are without a win in five. That includes Thursday night, when they lost 2-1 at home to West Ham despite taking the lead.
Ange Postecoglu’s side are fun to watch, but they are also vulnerable. Newcastle can get something against them, as they aim to bounce back from their bad day at the office at Goodison Park.
