Newcastle’s official Twitter account has posted some photos of the players returning for pre-season training.
Forwards Joelinton and Callum Wilson are back in training as Steve Bruce’s preparations for the new season begin.
A photo of Freddie Woodman, who was out on loan at Swansea last season was uploaded.
But it was swiftly deleted as it had his address on a box he was carrying.
Woodman may well hope for a chance to impress Bruce during pre-season.
He impressed at Swansea but they failed to make it to the Premier League and Woodman, 24, might fancy a crack at the top flight next season.
Paul Dummett was also among the returning players.
He was actually photographed at the training ground last month, putting in extra work ahead of pre-season.
The takeover may be on the minds of many fans as the had work ahead of a new season begins.
There’s also the issue of new signings and new kits, so there’s plenty to iron out before the season starts.
The hope is that Newcastle offer up something more than an unambitious pursuit of survival.
Whether that happens is another matter, but the hard work starts today. One of Bruce’s coaches, Graham Jones, is of course currently away with England.
