Newcastle United are gearing up for their return to action when their pre-season friendlies get underway this week.
Eddie Howe has been welcoming his Newcastle United players back to training over the last week after their all-too-brief time off following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
The first group of players returned to Darsley Park on July 7 before those like Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali, who were afforded an extra week after their international exploits in the summer.
Those stars then linked up with the rest of the squad on July 14 as the side flew out to Austria for a training camp before they return to the field in competition.
Here is where Newcastle will be playing their friendlies in preparation for the new campaign.

Where Newcastle United will be playing in pre-season 2025
Newcastle have a hefty pre-season calendar to work through over the next month, as they will compete in six friendlies across the globe.
The squad will fly from Austria to Glasgow, where they will kick off their tour with a game against Scottish champions Celtic at the iconic Celtic Park.
With a capacity of 60,411, it’s the first of three stadiums bigger than St. James’ Park that Newcastle will play in this summer.
Afterwards, The Magpies will fly off to Singapore for the first leg of their tour of Asia. They will face Premier League rivals Arsenal at the 55,000-seater Singapore National Stadium, which is marginally bigger than their home.
They will then head to South Korea to face a K-League XI in Suwon before heading to the capital of Seoul to face Tottenham in the 66,704 capacity Seoul World Cup Stadium.
| Fixture | Date | Stadium | Capacity |
| Celtic vs Newcastle United | July 19 | Celtic Park | 60,411 |
| Arsenal vs Newcastle United | July 27 | Singapore National Stadium | 55,000 |
| K-League XI vs Newcastle United | July 30 | Suwon World Cup Stadium | 44,031 |

| Newcastle United vs Espanyol | August 8 | St. James’ Park | 52,305 |
| Newcastle United vs Atletico Madrid | August 9 | St. James’ Park | 52,305 |
Newcastle will finally return home for a Spanish double header at St. James’ Park against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid in their final matches before competitive football starts up again.
How many tickets have Newcastle sold in pre-season
Newcastle fans were given an initial allocation of 7,200 tickets for the trip to Glasgow, and they were soon all snapped up.
However, with Celtic struggling to sell tickets to their home fans for the game, their allocation has now been increased to over 10,000.
Tickets remain available for all three fixtures taking place in Asia and against Espanyol.
However, tickets for the home game against Atletico Madrid, which will be for the Sela Cup, have completely sold out.
