It seems the idea that Lewis Hall could actually leave Newcastle United this summer is remote despite frequent links with Manchester United.
Frankly, it’s now hard to see how this doesn’t result in a new contract for Hall at Newcastle United – although the club have certainly been here before.
How does the idea of MORE star players leaving after Anthony Gordon make you feel?! 😡
Indeed, Hall is reportedly tempted by the idea of a move to Manchester United after a disappointing end to the season on Tyneside.
However, Luke Edwards has now provided an update.
Newcastle United insider says nothing is happening with Hall
Writing about the Hall links on social media platform X, Edwards of The Daily Telegraph quoted one of his inside sources and said: “On Lewis Hall. Newcastle are aware of talk in the media about Manchester United interest but have not had any contact with the club and have not been told the player wants to leave. Asked what the situation with Hall is the reply I received was ‘there is no situation.’
“Very early days in the summer. More to follow I’m sure.”
Anthony Gordon’s gone – so name your dream replacement here 👇
It certainly seems as if this is media noise more than anything. Perhaps Hall is angling for a new and improved contract, but that would be richly deserved anyway.
While key players are expected to leave Newcastle United this summer, Hall should not be one of them.
Anthony Gordon has gone and others could well follow, but that does not necessarily mean that Newcastle will sell quite literally all of their good players.

It’s easy to see why Hall would attract transfer interest. He’s young, full of talent and boasts a lot of resale value in an era where that matters more than ever before.
However, not every saga has to end up like the Alexander Isak saga. Sometimes, players are just after a new contract, and other times it quite literally just is the proverbial rumour mill churning things out.
The idea of selling Hall should be fanciful for at least another year. The club have put too much work into him to watch him blossom into an even better player at this relatively early stage of his career.
Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like there’s an awful lot in those Old Trafford links just yet at least.
