Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has done a remarkable job at the club this season, despite a lack of new arrivals.
The 47-year-old has propelled the club from likely relegation in the 2021/22 season to the cusp of a Champions League qualification for the second time in three seasons.
Very few could have predicted how quickly Newcastle United would rise up the Premier League table, but Eddie Howe’s dedication to excellence has made many fans’ dreams a reality.
Under Steve Bruce’s management and Mike Ashley’s ownership, the club looked doomed to fall back into the Championship and possibly worse. However, a takeover in 2021 was the beginning of a lot of change on Tyneside.
Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan will reward Howe for his hard work this season by handing the club a generous transfer kitty to spend this summer. Newcastle have £150m to spend on transfers this summer, more than enough to help sporting director Paul Mitchell bolster the squad ahead of next season’s European games.
With Howe seemingly enjoying his time on Tyneside, Newcastle fans have made it clear what he deserves after being recognised by the Premier League.

Newcastle United fans back Eddie Howe to win Premier League award
Michael Dawson claimed Newcastle are a Champions League club again, which will be as good as confirmed if the Magpies beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Even though the season did not get off to the best of starts, Howe has been nominated for the Premier League’s Manager of the Year Award.
Although not directly linked to the Premier League, Newcastle’s Carabao Cup win is sure to give Howe some leverage in the race.
Newcastle fans believe that Howe is the rightful winner of the award, with many taking to social media platform X to share their views.
“Bonus points for being an amazing human, consummate professional and turning low confidence players into world beaters.” said one Newcastle fan, while another added: “If we get 2nd Howe deserves it. If forest get champs league then Nuno but we all know it’s slot. Who tbf has done a great job.”
This Newcastle fan disregarded Liverpool’s Premier League title win, saying: “Eddie or Nuno for me for how far those 2 teams have progressed. Slot team blocks were there from Klopp era.”
“Could not Agree More Take A Bow Wor Eddie Howe only one Winner in Geordie hearts.” said this passionate Newcastle fan.
Another fan said: “Has big shout if they complete the job for UCL, but can’t be dismissive of what slots done first season and they ran away with the league. Nobody gave them a prayer when Klopp left a massive achievement. But Arteta will say it should be his.”
Finally, this Newcastle fan said: “It’s Howe and then daylight to anyone else. In Howe We Trust.”
What Eddie Howe said about Premier League award nomination
Howe is not the only Newcastle star who has been nominated for a Premier League award this season. Alexander Isak is in the running for the Premier League’s Player of the Season Award following another brilliant season.
23 league goals have Isak second in the goalscoring charts; only Mohamed Salah has more.

Isak was berated by Shaka Hislop for his performance against Chelsea, but there is no denying the club may not have been in the position they are without his contributions earlier in the season.
Speaking about his and Isak’s nominations, Howe said: “I always think it’s nice to be nominated for different things because ultimately it hopefully means you’ve had a successful season so I’m proud to be on that list. I’m also proud for Alex [on his Player of the Season nomination], I think he thoroughly deserves it.”
