Newcastle United reportedly have no intentions of selling Bruno Guimaraes this summer.
That’s according to i News, who state that the Magpies will not entertain any offers for the 24-year-old after rumours of interest from Real Madrid.
Talk of the Brazilian leaving emerged yesterday when it was claimed that Real Madrid want him to replace Manchester United bound Casemiro. It was even claimed that they had contacted his agent about a move.
However, the good news is that Bruno will not be leaving St James’ Park before the transfer window closes.

Newcastle not planning on selling Bruno right now
When news of interest from Real Madrid emerged, it was certainly worrying. They are arguably the biggest club in the world. Who wouldn’t want to play for them?
However, it looks like the Magpies are taking a hard stance on this. He’s not going anywhere.
That’s excellent to hear, as it reaffirms the club’s desire to make it to the top. To do that, we are going to need players like Bruno. He has been a revelation since moving to Tyneside, and is establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s top midfielders.

The report from i News adds that Newcastle want to build a team around Bruno, and that he has been told by the Toon hierarchy that they eventually want to reach the Champions League.
That’s exactly what Bruno will want to hear, but there needs to be signs of it happening sooner rather than later.
More clubs interested in Newcastle’s number 39
While Real Madrid have been told to look elsewhere, they seemingly aren’t the only club tracking Bruno. i News add that there are more European giants looking at possibly signing the 24-year-old.

That’s a testament to Bruno’s ability. It also highlights how big a coup it was that we got him in January. Why on earth weren’t we challenged by a bigger club?
Right now, Bruno is proving to be worth every penny of the £42million we paid Lyon for him. In the words of Matt Targett, he’s an ‘unbelievable player‘.
Newcastle need Bruno to help them on this journey, and we must hope that his head isn’t turned by interest from some of the world’s biggest sides.
