Bruno Guimaraes is playing so well for Newcastle that a lot of other clubs want to sign him, including Liverpool.
The 24-year-old is getting better and better in a Toon shirt, which is incredibly exciting given how well he started life at St James’ Park.
But the Brazil international is currently enjoying a wonderfully rich vein of form, with his latest stellar display coming in the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Bruno dominated the midfield against a Champions League side, and he did it after two days without sleep.
Newcastle’s number 39 is a force of nature, and plenty of clubs will be wondering why they didn’t snap him up before the Magpies did in January.
There was interest from Real Madrid during the summer. As Casemiro’s move to Manchester United gathered pace, rumours emerged in Spain that they wanted to replace him with Guimaraes. However, that did not happen in the end.

Since then there has been talk of English clubs being interested as well. It has been claimed by Goal in Brazil that Chelsea have spoken to Bruno’s representatives, while TNT Sport believe Liverpool are keen too.
That speaks volumes of Bruno’s ability, and a new report shares how he feels about the mounting interest in his signature.
How Bruno feels about a move amid Liverpool interest
According to 90min, Bruno’s representatives are well aware of the interest in their client. However, they add that he is not entertaining talk of a move away from St James’ Park.
Instead, a new Newcastle contract appears to be on the horizon. It was recently claimed that the Magpies are planning to make Bruno the club’s best paid player, possibly earning £200,000-a-week. 90min have weighed in on the contract talk, and believe it is a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’.
From Newcastle’s perspective, 90min state that Eddie Howe’s side believe Bruno is fully committed to the club.
In the past, talk of major interest from top clubs elsewhere would terrify Toon fans. We saw our best players sold off on so many occasions during the Mike Ashley era. But that no longer appears to be the case.
While there may come a time when our best players are moved on again, it will be done with the club’s best interests at heart.
But Newcastle are massively on the up, and are launching a major push for Europe. After 12 games, we are in fourth and in contention for Champions League football.
In truth, any European charge is welcome on Tyneside. It’s more than most fans expected this season, as just finishing in the top half would be seen as progress.
But we have started the Premier League campaign incredibly well, and Bruno has played a massive part.
He signed up for the Newcastle project in January 2022, and is showing no signs of walking away for a bigger club. Instead, he seems intent on bringing Newcastle up to that level.
