Juventus manager Max Allegri has confirmed that Newcastle United transfer target Aaron Ramsey can leave the club this month.

The Welshman has made just one start all season and has only played 112 minutes of football throughout the campaign.

It looks like the former Arsenal man’s time in Turin will be coming to an end after Allegri labelled him an ‘outgoing player’.

Speaking via Sky Sports, Allegri said: “Ramsey, he returned today after we had given him a few days off to work, to train separately, in England.

“In any case, he’s an outgoing player.”

Allegri also confirmed that Juventus were already ‘working’ on finding a new destination for Ramsey.

Could Aaron Ramsey be heading to Newcastle?

Ian McGarry recently claimed on the Transfer Window podcast that Newcastle are keen on Ramsey and have offered him a £150,000-a-week contract. This information was also supported by journalist Duncan Castles. Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim that he has been offered to the Magpies.

Some Newcastle United fans reacted to the news that Ramsey had been offered a contract to join the Magpies.

Despite reportedly signing a £400,000-a-week contract at Juventus, the move hasn’t gone well.

There is no denying Ramsey has the quality to bolster Newcastle’s survival bid, but his career has been riddled with injuries.

However, if fit, Ramsey would certainly add goals and creativity to Newcastle’s midfield. In 371 games at Arsenal, the 31-year-old scored 65 goals and made 65 assists.

During his time in Italy, Ramsey scored six goals and registered six assists from 70 matches.

And when he is fit and available for his country, Ramsey has delivered some big moments for his nation, with 20 goals and eight assists from 70 caps.

Allegri’s desire to part ways with Ramsey means that Newcastle could take advantage and sign him in a cut-price deal. If he is willing to take a significant pay drop to return to the Premier League with the Toon Army, Eddie Howe and PIF may feel the Welshman is a gamble worth taking.
