Newcastle United have been linked with one of Europe’s leading strikers.
While both Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson remain in the goals for now, Newcastle have been mooted as a landing spot for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian international was linked in the summer and talk about a move restarted last month following a bizarre TikTok posted by the Italian club’s official channel, mocking their marksman.

Now, there has been an update on his future.
Victor Osimhen undecided on Napoli future
Indeed, according to 90 Min, the 24-year-old is yet to make a decision on his future in Italy.
They suggest a new contract with Napoli was close until the social media incident but an agreement now feels much further away.
Currently under contract for another two years, it is a crucial juncture in his career with the club. Should he not sign a new deal, the Italian champions would be in a weak bargaining position soon, with the prospect of losing him on a free a genuine possibility.
Chelsea are believed to be interested in the player and could attempt to sign him should he opt to leave the club.

Newcastle should be in the mix for Osimhen
Goals are rarely a problem for Eddie Howe’s side right now but that doesn’t mean it will be the case forever.
Wilson is over the age of thirty and has a history of injuries. Though reliable at the moment, he obviously cannot go on forever.
At 24 and having already proven he can operate in two of Europe’s top five leagues, the former Lille forward should be of interest to Newcastle. With a dwindling contract, there could be a real chance of landing him for a much more realistic fee than the kind of money talked about over the summer.
Newcastle should be keeping a close eye on the situation.
