Unsurprisingly, Newcastle United are now being linked with a number of big name players.
Back in the Champions League, Eddie Howe’s side are expected to be busy in the transfer market.
While the PIF era has so far not been defined by superstar signings, the proverbial transfer rumour mill just does not stop turning.

Indeed, Newcastle are fiercely ambitious and now have Europe’s elite club competition to offer potential targets. With all that in mind, it’s hardly much of a shock to see such big players linked with a move.
Over in Italy, that has certainly continued.

The report suggests the Magpies, Bayern Munich and Manchester United have all discussed a deal, while Paris Saint-Germain retain an interest.
While there is reportedly no frontrunner as things stand, the Italian club’s president is said to be asking for around £128m.
Signing Osimhen would be a statement for Newcastle
While it’s difficult to imagine a scenario where Newcastle spend so much money on one player, few would doubt what a statement signing the striker would be.
Osimhen was in sensational form as Napoli ended their wait for a league title. The Nigeria star scored 25 goals in 31 games while registering a further five assists and hit headlines around the world.

Hailed as “the best striker in the world” and “even better than [Erlling] Haaland”, watching him join a Newcastle team packed with goals in the form of Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak would be quite something.
That’s not to say Newcastle would suddenly start paying over £100m for a forward, it’s just that it would be a remarkable thing to see if it did happen.
