Newcastle United have very high hopes for a 16-year-old player who is seriously impressing at youth level since his arrival on Tyneside.
The Magpies completed a deal to sign Trevan Sanusi from Birmingham City last year, and he has already enjoyed a bright start to life in a black and white shirt.
The teenager appeared in four of the Magpies’ six UEFA Youth League games, and got an assist during the 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund.
Sanusi has also dazzled for the Under-21s, and recently produced an incredible solo run during a win over Nottingham Forest that had some fans likening him to Allan Saint-Maximin.
Considering how popular Saint-Maximin was at St James’ Park, that is very exciting, and it appears that Toon officials are really happy with how the winger has kicked off his Newcastle United career.

Newcastle United happy with Treven Sanusi behind the scenes so far
According to the Chronicle, people behind the scenes at Newcastle seem to be very happy with how Sanusi’s Toon career has started and the development he has already shown.
That is very encouraging, and hopefully he continues on the same path in the coming years. He looks like an incredibly exciting talent – the kind you would pay to watch. The youngster is an entertainer with flicks and tricks, just like former Toon players such as Saint-Maximin and Hatem Ben Arfa.
They were lionised by fans, and Sanusi will get the same treatment if he ever makes it into the first-team at St James’ Park. That will be the goal, and he could end up saving Newcastle a lot of money if he develops into a top level Premier League forward.
Fingers crossed he is able to do that, and the early signs are certainly very promising at the age of 16-years-old.
