It has been an extremely difficult start at Newcastle United for Lewis Hall.
The teenager joined on loan from Chelsea during the summer, and is set to become a permanent Magpie at the end of the season for £28million.
That is despite the fact he has barely featured since moving to Tyneside. So far, Lewis Hall has made just 11 appearances in all competitions. He has started only once in the Premier League, and has not featured at all since the 3-2 defeat to Manchester City on January 13th.
And while Newcastle still view Hall as one for the future, some pundits have questioned the Magpies’ decision to invest so heavily in a player who clearly is not up to standard yet.
Newcastle believe he will get there, but when that happens remains to be seen, and that brings us on to next season…

Newcastle could loan out Lewis Hall this summer
According to iNews, Newcastle United could potentially loan Hall out next season.
They state that the club still believe he is one for the future, but may decide to loan him out if he is unable to force his way into Eddie Howe’s side.
That is proving to be incredibly difficult at the moment. Dan Burn and Tino Livramento are currently ahead of him in the pecking order, while the 19-year-old might slip down even further down with Matt Targett back in training after his injury.
It leaves Hall in a difficult position, as a large price tag hangs over his head. Newcastle have agreed to spend a lot of money on him, and currently have nothing to show for it. Sadly for Hall, he has done nothing to justify the amount the Magpies are set to spend on him.
There has been a lot of concern from fans, who are disgruntled by how little Hall has played. But Howe obviously feels that he is not ready, or that he cannot be fully trusted just yet.
A big decision will need to be made this summer. Hall will benefit massively from working closely with Howe, but he also needs to get senior minutes under his belt. And it is difficult to envision him getting both at St James’ Park next season.
And that is why a loan move might be the best option.
