Newcastle United have had some fantastic players pass through their youth ranks over the years. With this – here are Newcastle United’s best academy players of all time.

A well-run academy is integral to any football club. Whilst it’s all well and good going out and splashing the cash – there’s nothing better than having a home-grown player emerge.

Luckily, Newcastle United have managed to pluck out some gems over the years, who have gone on to be successful at the club, or elsewhere.

Here are the very best of the best to grace the youth ranks on Tyneside.

In 1988, he was transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for a British transfer record fee at the time. He went on to become one of the greatest English players to ever grace the beautiful game and probably Newcastle United’s best academy player of all time.
