Newcastle United are now one of a number of teams who are really pushing to sign an exciting teenage attacker who has caught the eye in Europe this season.
Several Premier League teams, including Newcastle, were first interested in Copenhagen’s Roony Bardghji after he scored the winning goal in their Champions League match against Man United.
Now, a new report from HITC suggests that Newcastle, along with Aston Villa, Tottenham and Man United are now pushing hard to sign the teenager in the summer.
Newcastle pushing to sign 18-year-old attacker
Bardghji has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents this season and he’s certainly not going to be short of suitors in the summer as he prepares for a big move.
In fact, it has very recently been reported that the teenager was suffering from a lack of playing time in 2024 because he had already decided that he would be leaving the Danish club in the next few months.
Born in Kuwait, Bardghji moved to Sweden in 2012 where he played in different youth teams before eventually breaking through at Copenhagen and making his mark in Europe.
The 18-year-old plays as a right-winger, a position which Newcastle are hoping to sign in the summer, where has impressed in the Danish division with seven goals in what has been a breakthrough season.

Newcastle need more of a goal threat next season
Newcastle haven’t had a bad season by any means as they are still in the hunt of European qualification and could enjoy another trip to Wembley in the FA Cup should they beat Man City.
However, they will still be looking to make big improvements in the summer and high up on the list of priorities is to find someone to take over from Miguel Almiron on the right side of the attack.
The Paraguayan has always ran himself into the ground every game he’s played and nobody can ever fault his efforts, but his lack of a goal threat really hinders Newcastle in big games.
Bardghji is only young and a very raw talent but already has European experience and is clearly very keen to make the move to a big club next season who would ideally playing in one of the European tournaments.
