Newcastle United defender Dan Burn has summed up perfectly just how staggering Lewis Miley is.
At the age of 17-years-old, Lewis Miley has done more than some people will do in a lifetime. He has achieved the dreams of so many Newcastle United fans, donning those famous black and white stripes and scoring in front of the Gallowgate.
He got his first goal for the club on Saturday, scoring the opener in the 3-0 win over Fulham.
We have also seen Miley start against Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan in the Champions League, and he has not looked out of place.
The teenager has been absolutely amazing, looking wise beyond his years in the middle of the park.
All of the Toon players seem to be so happy for Miley, and now his teammate Dan Burn has put into perspective just how incredible his recent rise is.

Burn has appeared on ‘Fozcast – The Ben Foster Podcast’ and spoke about Miley coming into the first-team.
“Nothing fazes him,” he said.
“You can crack on with him as if he is my age. I’m just really happy for him.
“His composure for a kid that age – I was pushing trollies at Asda at his age. Genuinely.
“And he’s a Champions League footballer. My mind is blown.”

Comparing Burn at 17 to Miley at 17 makes the teenager’s recent rise all the more incredible. It also sums up how well Burn has done to get to the level he is at now, having become a Champions League player himself – and not only that, he is also a Champions League goalscorer.
Miley is yet to achieve that, but it will happen. Newcastle might be out of the Champions League this season, but Miley will play in the competition again.
He has already proven that he can hang at that level, and he is only going to get better. Even during this run in the team, you can see how he has kicked on even more, and that is so exciting for fans.
