Newcastle United vs Ipswich Town is massive at both ends of the Premier League table.
For Newcastle United, it is a chance to move back up to third in the table and strengthen their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
Newcastle’s loss to Aston Villa hurt their European aspirations, but this is a great opportunity to bounce back.
For Ipswich Town, it could be the end of their Premier League journey. They will be relegated to the Championship if they do not win at St James’ Park. Even that might not be enough to save them, as Ipswich’s relegation from the Premier League will be confirmed if West Ham at least draw with Brighton.
That game is at the same time as Newcastle United vs Ipswich Town.

Officials confirmed for Newcastle United vs Ipswich Town
Ahead of the clash on Tyneside, the Premier League have announced who the officials will be.
Michael Salisbury will be the referee. He was on VAR duty for Newcastle’s loss to Aston Villa on Saturday evening, while it is the second time this season that Salisbury has refereed the Magpies.
The first was just before the Carabao Cup final. Salisbury was the man in the middle for West Ham vs Newcastle United, which Eddie Howe’s side won 1-0 thanks to a Bruno Guimaraes goal.
West Ham complained about that goal, insisting that a foul should have been given for a push by Alexander Isak.
The VAR official for Saturday’s game against Ipswich Town will be James Bell.

That name might not be familiar to a lot of Toon fans, but he played a pivotal role in sending Anthony Gordon off in the FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
After an altercation with Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, Anthony Taylor issued Gordon a red card. The decision was then reviewed by VAR, with James Bell on duty that day. He agreed with Taylor’s decision, as Gordon went for an early bath and was handed a three-match ban.
That ban saw Gordon miss the Carabao Cup final.
What Anthony Gordon has been told about his current role at Newcastle United
After being banned and then suffering an injury whilst on international duty, Gordon is currently not a guaranteed starter at St James’ Park.
Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy are playing well, resulting in Gordon sitting on the bench.
The 24-year-old has been named as a substitute for Newcastle’s previous three games, and it remains to be seen when he will win his place back in the starting XI.
Ahead of the defeat to Aston Villa, Toon assistant boss Jason Tindall told Gordon that he must be patient and wait for his opportunity.
“Anthony has played the game long enough to understand that the team is playing extremely well,” he said.
“Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy, two players in his position, are performing extremely well.
“At times like this as a player, as frustrating as it can be sometimes, you do need to put the shoe on the other foot and go ‘right, if I was that player performing that way, what would I expect’.
“You would always say that you would expect to be a good teammate, to support that person and continue to work hard every single day so when your moment comes when you step on that pitch you are able to go and deliver the performances that everyone knows you can.
“Testament to all the players. That’s what they have been doing so far.”
