Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak have amazing chemistry at Newcastle United.
The duo are playing incredibly well together this season, as Alexander Isak establishes himself as the Premier League’s best striker.
The 25-year-old has been immense in front of goal, with Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever scoring 19 times in all competitions so far. He is on track to beat his tally from last season (25), which is mightily impressive.
But Isak is not doing it all by himself. He is only as good as the service he gets, with the Swede boasting a great relationship on the pitch with the likes of Newcastle United superstars Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes.

Jacob Murphy explains his chemistry with Alexander Isak
However, Isak’s best partnership is with Jacob Murphy. The winger has combined with Isak seven times in the Premier League this season, as Murphy enjoys a really strong run in the Newcastle United starting lineup.
Their relationship has been key to the Magpies’ recent form, and Jacob Murphy has told the CBS Sports Golazo YouTube channel the secret to their success together.
“Very good game understanding on Alex’s part,” he said.
“He just knows where I want to put the ball. When I get into certain situations, I’m looking to hit certain areas. He’s just living in that area.
“We can already do half the job by being in the correct situations. Then it’s down to the execution of the final ball and the finish. We’ve struck up a great partnership and we need to keep doing that.”
Jacob Murphy setting the bar for Newcastle United’s next right winger
Murphy is probably playing the best football of his Newcastle United career this season. He has often been a player who frustrates, but he really is excelling on the right of attack for Eddie Howe’s side right now.
The 29-year-old has become pivotal to the way that Newcastle play, while his chemistry with Isak has won the Magpies plenty of points.
At a time when Newcastle clearly need to sign a right winger, Murphy is doing his best to make the position his own.
PSR stopped Paul Mitchell from bringing anyone in during the January transfer window, but Newcastle will sign a winger in the summer. They will target an exciting talent, and it will be someone who improves the starting XI at St James’ Park.
To improve the starting XI, you need to be better than Jacob Murphy. On current form, that is easier said than done. Murphy is raising the bar, as he raises his game to new heights.
