Alexander Isak was the difference maker for Newcastle United against Arsenal on Saturday.

Isak’s header gave Newcastle a 1-0 win over Arsenal, as they ended their winless run in the Premier League.

It was an outstanding header from Isak, who has now scored four goals for Newcastle United this season.

The 25-year-old appears to be re-finding his form after a slow start to the season, as he aims to enjoy another stellar campaign in front of goal.

Ever since joining Newcastle, goals have flowed for Isak. The Magpies’ most expensive signing ever has been absolutely clinical, establishing himself as one of the best strikers in world football.

Isak has made 77 appearances for Newcastle United, scoring 39 goals. He averages a goal every other game, which is outstanding.

Alexander Isak comments on his heading ability

While Isak has scored a lot of goals for Newcastle United, most of them have been with his feet.

His goal against Arsenal was a rare header, and the Sweden international has told the club’s official website that he is trying to develop his game and become better at scoring goals with his head.

“We work on that,” he said.

“It’s not my strongest quality. It’s an element that I can develop.

“If I can get better at those things then it will only benefit myself.”

How many headers Alexander Isak has scored for Newcastle United

Out of the 39 goals that Isak has scored for Newcastle, only three of them have been with his head.

The other two came in his first season on Tyneside, both of which were decisive goals in 1-0 wins over Fulham and Wolves.

Now Isak’s third header for Newcastle has resulted in a third 1-0 win. When Isak scores with his head, the Magpies always win by a single goal!

Since becoming a Toon player, Isak has scored all types of goals. Left foot. Right foot. Penalties. Tap-ins.

However, it is clear that he could score more headers. That is something that he is working on, which will be worrying for the rest of the Premier League.

If he can master the art of scoring with his head then this world class centre-forward could become absolutely unstoppable.
