For the past couple of seasons, Newcastle United have had one of the Premier League’s best right-backs in Kieran Trippier.

He has been immense since joining the Magpies in January 2022. The defender has proven to be a seismic signing, having a transformative impact both on and off the pitch.

Despite a blip over Christmas, Kieran Trippier is once again having an exceptional season. He has got 10 Premier League assists so far, which puts him joint-top alongside Pascal Gross and Ollie Watkins.

At 33-years-old, Trippier continues to thrive. However, there will come a time when he is no longer Newcastle United’s resident right-back. He will eventually leave St James’ Park, possibly as early as this summer.

And when that does happen, Trippier has complete faith in the man who is lined up to replace him.

Kieran Trippier rates Tino Livramento so highly

That honour will go to Tino Livramento, and Trippier has been speaking very highly about the 21-year-old in a recent interview with The Independent.

“Tino, for such a young guy, is unbelievable,” he said.

“I’ve had loads of talks with Tino, firstly to try to help him. I know he’s my position, but I don’t want to be selfish.

“He’ll be unbelievable for Newcastle in the future and an England right-back as well. That’s how highly I rate him.”

Newcastle have an exciting future with Tino Livramento

Livramento already is unbelievable. He has really turned heads since arriving at St James’ Park, and it has not taken him long to prove why Newcastle were right to spend so much money on him.

The 21-year-old has done well when coming in for Trippier, while he has also thrived on the left of defence. A lot of fans have even been calling for him to be a regular starter ahead of Dan Burn.

However, we have only scratched the surface of what Livramento is capable of in a black and white shirt. He is still just a player with huge potential, and someone who is going to continue to grow on Tyneside.

As Trippier says, he is going to be unbelievable for Newcastle United – possibly for the next 10 years. And in that time, he will almost certainly play for England.

What a bright future Tino Livramento has ahead of him.
