Newcastle United have a tough test this weekend when they take on Fulham in the Premier League.

It will be Newcastle United’s first match at St. James’ Park since they were humbly destroyed 4-1 by Bournemouth a fortnight ago.

Eddie Howe’s side did recover from the shock defeat last weekend with a 3-1 victory over Southampton, with Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali excellent.

Next up will be the visit of Marco Silva’s tough and talented Fulham, who will pose the Champions League-chasing Newcastle a tricky task.

Here is everything you need to know about the fixture.

Newcastle United vs Fulham team news

Miguel Almiron’s £10m transfer back to Atlanta United has been confirmed so Howe will be one man light for the match and the rest of the season.

Almiron waved goodbye to Newcastle fans following the victory over Southampton last weekend.

Meanwhile, Callum Wilson has not been spotted in training ahead of his predicted return time while Harvey Barnes and Jamaal Lascelles are still sidelined.

Fulham will definitely be without Reiss Nelson and Kenny Tete while Harry Wilson is also a big doubt.

Predictions

Fulham have quietly gone about having another very decent season and are no pushovers in the slightest. However, they have been vulnerable defensively and Newcastle should have the firepower to get a win.

Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Fulham.
