There will be 12 Newcastle United stars in action during the international break, including Malick Thiaw, and here’s where you can see their games.

Newcastle United go into the final international break of 2025 down in the dumps after they suffered yet another stinging 3-1 away defeat on Sunday, this time losing to Brentford.

Eddie Howe’s side have now lost their last two trips to London, despite taking early leads in both matches, and fans are growing frustrated with the poor Premier League form and some of the manager’s decisions.

The November break will offer some well-timed respite for Newcastle and 12 of the club’s players will be heading out on international duty over the next week as World Cup qualifying campaigns come to an end.

Here’s how you can watch their games.

Newcastle did originally have three representatives in the England squad, but Anthony Gordon has pulled out with a hip issue, while Nick Pope, after earning his first call-up in more than a year, has been forced to withdraw with a concussion.

With Tino Livramento also sidelined, that leaves Dan Burn as the sole Magpie in the squad for England’s dead rubber qualifiers, with their spot at the World Cup already secured.

Nick Woltemade finally scored his first goal for Germany last month amid criticism from the national media and he keeps his place in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad even after his form has dipped at St. James’ Park.

There has also been a deserved recall for Malick Thiaw, who has returned to the squad for the first time since 2023 after a strong start to life in Newcastle.

Brazil have long qualified for the World Cup, so they are spending the international break playing yet more friendlies in preparation, and Bruno Guimaraes won’t even have long to travel this time.

The Newcastle captain flew to Asia last month but their games in November will be played at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and Lille’s Stade Pierre Mauroy. Joelinton has been dropped from this squad, though.

It’s now or never for Anthony Elanga’s Sweden, who are on the cusp of missing out on a second World Cup in a row.

Disastrous defeats at home last month mean Sweden have to win both of their final matches to stand any chance of making it to the Play-offs. It’s a big task for new manager Graham Potter.

Sandro Tonali’s Italy have two massive fixtures as they aim to overtake Norway to finish top of Group I and it could all come down to goal difference.

Italy will first play bottom-side Moldova and will need to put as many past them as possible, as they’re 14 goals behind Norway, who they will play in their final fixture. Norway play Estonia before that, a heavy win in which could put their place in the World Cup almost beyond doubt before heading to Milan.
