‘Come on’: Bruno Guimaraes has sent a message to Joelinton after Brazil announcement

Newcastle United duo Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton were in fine form against Arsenal, but will only play together one more time before the upcoming international break.

That will be against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, as Newcastle head to Germany in search of revenge after losing 1-0 to the Bundesliga side at St James’ Park.

After that, Newcastle return to Premier League action against Bournemouth. However, there will be no Bruno Guimaraes when Eddie Howe takes on his former side.

That is because the 25-year-old is suspended, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season during the 1-0 win over Arsenal – a game where Bruno really should have been sent off for a challenge on Jorginho, if you can even call it that.

Joelinton will not have his Brazilian buddy against Bournemouth, but they will be together during the international break following an announcement on Monday.

Joelinton named in the Brazil squad alongside Bruno Guimaraes

The Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers was announced on Monday. They have got a couple of huge games during the upcoming international break, as they prepare to face Colombia and World Cup holders Argentina.

Unsurprisingly, Bruno has been named in the Brazil squad for the double-header, and he is joined by Newcastle teammate Joelinton.

The 27-year-old missed Brazil’s two games during October due to injury, but is now back in the squad – much to his delight.

Joelinton and Bruno react on Instagram

Joelinton took to his official Instagram account to react to being named in the Brazil squad once again.

He wrote: “It will always be an honour.”

This prompted a reply from Bruno, who commented: “Come on brother.”

The Newcastle duo will be playing alongside each other at international level later this month, as they look to get Brazil’s qualification campaign back on track after disappointing results against Venezuela and Uruguay.

Joelinton will hope to add to his Brazil caps, having already picked up four this year, which is a testament to how well he has been doing for Newcastle United.
