Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has rolled back the years for a photoshoot.
Wilson has conducted an interview with Penalty magazine about his career, and it included some brilliant photos of him posing in classic Newcastle United shirts.
The 31-year-old has been one of the key players of the Castore era on Tyneside, while he began his Newcastle career wearing the final jersey that Puma produced for the club.
But now Wilson has gone retro and taken it back to the 90s.
Callum Wilson really suits the retro Newcastle United kits
The striker has done his best Cher impression and turned back time, posing in a selection of glorious Newcastle kits from the 1990s.
That was an exciting era for the club, and it saw the Toon players wear some of the finest shirts that the Magpies have ever produced.
The oldest jersey that Wilson has donned is the famous 1995 home kit, which Kevin Keegan’s side wore when they narrowly missed out on the Premier League title.
He has also been pictured in the 1996 away shirt, which is best remembered for the massive black and white neck.
The most recent top that Wilson has pulled out the archive is the 1999 home kit (which was actually my first ever shirt as a youngster).
Three beautiful shirts, and it is fair to say they suit our number nine.
More Castore for Newcastle
Fans love a retro kit, but they are less enthused by Newcastle’s current suppliers. Castore have made the Toon jerseys since 2021, and it is fair to say that they are not massively popular among the fanbase.

They have had a couple of blunders – most notably the ‘number four’ home kit from last season. However, they produced some nice shirts too, including this year’s trio.
But there has been speculation that a change could be on the horizon, with Adidas representatives attending a game at St James’ Park earlier in the campaign. However, it does not look likely to lead to anything in the immediate future.
It has been claimed that Castore will make Newcastle’s kits next season, although there will be one big difference. FUN88’s sponsorship is set to come to a premature end, with a new commercial partner set to be emblazoned upon the club’s shirts.
