Bruno Guimaraes has sent a message to fans following Newcastle United’s 1-0 defeat to Everton.
The Magpies have now lost back-to-back games for the first time since December. It was a bitterly disappointing night on Merseyside that should have offered so much more.
Eddie Howe’s side dominated the first half, but completely lacked rhythm after the break. The stop start nature of the game clearly hindered Newcastle, who never really got going in the second half.

A late goal from Alex Iwobi sealed victory for Everton, easing their relegation fears and acting as a reminder that we’re not out of the woods yet.
But for all the disappointment, Bruno’s performance was the one high point. The January signing was excellent all evening; the only Toon player who can truly be proud of his performance.
Bruno Guimaraes admits he’s ‘very sad’ after Newcastle defeat

After the game, Bruno took to Twitter to send a message to fans.
He wrote: “Very sad for today’s result, but now we have to focus on training and play better. We need your support as always in our walk. Together NUFC.”
Bruno can be proud of his performance against Everton
The defeat to Everton was Bruno’s third start in a row, each game playing alongside different midfield partners. Last night he was in between Joe Willock and Joelinton.

In the first half, Bruno was the best player on the pitch. His ability was there for all to see, breaking the lines at every given opportunity. His ball down the right channel to Emil Krafth was exquisite, and kicked off a spell of dominance for the Magpies.
The 24-year-old was impressive off the ball too, winning tackles and disrupting Everton attacks. He didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.
While overall it was a poor night for Newcastle, it serves as another reminder of what Bruno will offer us long term.
