Mark Lawrenson has given his prediction for Newcastle United’s trip to Wolves on Saturday.
The Magpies are still chasing their first win of the season, despite a largely excellent performance against Watford last week.
Newcastle dominated a lot of the game and created a plethora of chances, but were unable to kill the game off. That gave Watford a chance, and they took it with both hands.

The game ended 1-1, which Lawrenson predicted perfectly last week.
But how does the former Liverpool defender think we’ll get on at Molineux?
Mark Lawrenson predicts defeat for Newcastle
The 64-year-old has predicted another miserable weekend for Toon fans.
Lawrenson believes Wolves will come out victorious, stating Bruno Lage’s side will win 2-1.

“Wolves have won two out of their past three games and they are playing like a team whose confidence has come back,” he said.
“Do Newcastle go to Molineux and set themselves up to be hard to beat, or do they think this is a chance to get a first win of the season and go for it a little bit more than that?
“I suspect it will be the former, but I don’t think it will work.”
Wolves will certainly be a bit more confident after beating Southampton last weekend. Raul Jimenez scored his first goal since he returned from injury, which should give him a massive boost.

But perhaps Newcastle won’t just sit back as Lawrenson predicts. They didn’t do that at Vicarage Road, and created plenty of chances.
Steve Bruce needs to go for it against Wolves. Going into the second international break without a win would be absolutely devastating.
