Alan Shearer raced to social media to poke fun at fellow pundit Ian Wright during Newcastle United’s win over Arsenal.
Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon scored either side of half-time to give Newcastle United a 2-0 win at St James’ Park.
The Magpies have now booked their spot at Wembley for the 2025 Carabao Cup final next month.
Eddie Howe took a tactical gamble by starting his side in a back five but it massively paid off with Newcastle by far the better team on the night.
Having already scored twice against the Gunners this season, Alexander Isak was superb against Arsenal once again with the Swedish star causing huge problems for William Saliba and Gabriel all evening.

Alan Shearer sends message to Ian Wright
Newcastle’s all-time goalscorer Alan Shearer watched in delight as Newcastle booked their return to Wembley.
Shearer has been full of praise for Isak, and he couldn’t resist sending a message to Arsenal legend Ian Wright after his impressive display.
Via X, Shearer posted: “Hey Ian Wright, talk to me about our boy Isak against your 2 centre backs!!!”
Shearer then followed up his message to Wright with his assessment of Newcastle’s performance.
“That was a proper performance man. Arsenal couldn’t live with the intensity. Better than them tonight in every position,” Shearer wrote.
The numbers behind Alexander Isak’s masterclass vs Arsenal
Arsenal fans were blown away by Isak’s display on Wednesday evening but they shouldn’t be getting their hopes up as he is going nowhere.
The 25-year-old has become a world-class talent and the numbers behind his display against Arsenal show exactly why.

Isak nearly added another goal to his tally early on but his striker was chalked off by VAR after an extremely narrow offside decision.
But Newcastle’s opener also came through Isak when his curling left-footed effort rebounded off the woodwork into Murphy’s path.
