Newcastle United and Liverpool will meet at Wembley next month.

Indeed, another Carabao Cup final date awaits Eddie Howe and his squad of players after an absolute masterclass from Newcastle United.

Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-0 at St James’ Park, winning 4-0 on aggregate against one of the best teams in the Premier League.

Liverpool then smashed Tottenham 4-0 on Thursday night to go through 4-1 on aggregate, booking a heavyweight meeting with Howe’s side at the national stadium in March.

When is the 2025 Carabao Cup final?

The Carabao Cup final will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 4.30pm GMT.

Wembley Stadium in London will host.

Who will Newcastle United play in the Carabao Cup final?

Newcastle will play either Liverpool in the final.

What is the prize money for winning the Carabao Cup?

Unlike other major competitions, the prize money for winning the Carabao Cup is not exactly huge.

According to BBC Sport, the winners will receive £100,000, while the runners-up will be awarded £50,000. Each semi-finalist, meanwhile, get £25,000.

All of those clubs will also receive 45% of match proceeds.

How many times have Newcastle won the Carabao Cup?

Newcastle’s major domestic trophy drought infamously stretches back to 1955, when the club lifted the FA Cup.

Their record in the League Cup (which is now called the Carabao Cup due to sponsorship), however, is poor.

Newcastle have never won the League Cup, losing in both the 1976 and 2023 finals.
