What Jack Grealish did towards the tunnel after Newcastle’s draw with Man City

Newcastle United can be proud of themselves this weekend.

Indeed, Newcastle put a dreadful result and performance behind them at Fulham last time out to claim a rather impressive point against Premier League champions Manchester City.

It was arguably the best performance Eddie Howe’s side have managed this season and the fact they managed it without Alexander Isak was impressive, albeit City were missing key players too.

Certainly, they proved they can compete with the elite, even if doing so on a consistent basis remains the real challenge at St James’ Park.

The game was relatively heated, too. Jack Grealish was involved in a few flashpoints after confrontations with both Joelinton and Sandro Tonali.

Now, some insight into what the England winger did after the game has emerged.

What Jack Grealish did towards the tunnel after Newcastle’s draw with Man City

According to the Manchester Evening News, Grealish was the subject of criticism from home supporters at St James’ Park as he made his way towards the tunnel at the end of the game.

They claim that, in reaction, the City star pointed to one particular fan and brought his finger to his lips and told him to be quiet.

Jack Grealish is a villain at Newcastle United

It’s not the first run-in Grealish has had at Newcastle, of course.

The forward aimed a bizarre dig at Miguel Almiron after City’s title win in 2022 and has been targeted by sections of the support since.

While the former Aston Villa star has since apologised for his comments on Almiron, they are hard to forget given the surprising nature of them.

Grealish will likely never live that down on Tyneside, though quite how much he cares about that is obviously up for debate.

Still, there’s never a dull moment when he comes up to Newcastle.
