Bruno Guimaraes is still unbeaten as Newcastle United captain thanks to Harvey Barnes.
The Magpies beat Wolves 2-1 on Sunday, with Harvey Barnes’ incredible winner giving Newcastle United all three points.
It was an impressive comeback, with Eddie Howe’s substitutes inspiring Newcastle to victory.
Fabian Schar’s goal was magical, even if it did take a deflection. Then Barnes arrived with an even better goal, as he continues his outstanding start to the season.
The 26-year-old now has two goals and an assist to his name, and is doing his best to force his way into Howe’s starting XI.
Wild celebrations as Harvey Barnes gave Newcastle the lead against Wolves
It was an incredible goal, and it sent the travelling Toon Army wild. The Newcastle United players celebrated passionately in front of the away fans, as Barnes was mobbed by his teammates.
Now the club have uploaded their ‘match cam’ footage from Sunday’s win to the official Newcastle United YouTube channel, and have provided a close up view of Eddie Howe’s players celebrating Barnes’ winner.

The first player to join Barnes in the celebrations was Bruno Guimaraes. He jumped on Barnes’ back, before being joined by Fabian Schar, Jacob Murphy and then the rest of the Newcastle United team.
There then appeared to be a secret handshake between Murphy and Barnes, before Bruno started dishing out the captain’s orders.
The 26-year-old midfielder stole Barnes’ trademark archery celebration, firing a bow and arrow towards the Toon fans. Bruno then instructed Barnes to do it himself, before two more imaginary arrows were fired into the crowd.
And we thought the Olympics were over…
Bruno then let out a roar, as the Newcastle players prepared for the restart.
Bruno Guimaraes’ celebrations are outstanding
The scenes after Barnes’ goal were incredible, while Bruno’s desire for the winger to do his trademark celebration was hilarious. And to think these guys have children!
But this is not the first time that Bruno has amused Toon fans with his celebrations.
Supporters will never forget that goal he scored against Brighton in 2023, back when the Magpies were on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League.
Newcastle beat Brighton 4-1 at St James’ Park, with Bruno scoring the fourth goal of the game. In the aftermath, Bruno did nine separate celebrations.
It is fair to say he is a passionate guy, especially when Newcastle United score…
The Brazil international is yet to properly celebrate himself this season, with Bruno yet to open his goalscoring account. Since joining the Magpies, he has scored 17 goals in all competitions.
