At the beginning of the season, Newcastle wanted Bruno to get in the box more. He has done that, and it has resulted in seven Premier League goals so far.
He has equalled his best-ever tally in a Newcastle United shirt, and there is still half a season to play. But not only is he scoring goals, he is scoring important goals.
Every goal that the 28-year-old has scored has mattered. He got the first goal of the game in wins over Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Crystal Palace, while his stoppage time strike gave Newcastle victory over Fulham.
His goal relieved the pressure away to Burnley recently, while he had put his side in front against Spurs before Cristian Romero’s late equaliser.
