Newcastle United are hoping to make it two Premier League wins from two on Sunday, but Eddie Howe will have to change his starting lineup.
The Magpies kicked off the new Premier League season with a hard fought 1-0 win over Southampton, as Eddie Howe’s 10 men battled to pick up all three points.
Fabian Schar received a soft red card in the first half that made Newcastle’s task harder, but Joelinton was able to grab a winner at St James’ Park.
Now Newcastle United are on the road, as they face Eddie Howe‘s old club Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday at 2pm.
Howe will have to make at least one change to his team, and this is our predicted Newcastle United starting XI to face Bournemouth this weekend.
Fabian Schar suspended for Newcastle
Newcastle United are guaranteed to make one change against Bournemouth, with Schar serving the first game of a three-match ban for his ‘headbutt’ on Ben Brereton Diaz.
A new centre-back has not arrived, which will mean Emil Krafth comes into the side and partners Dan Burn in the middle of defence.

Krafth was excellent against Southampton, and will hopefully perform just as well versus Bournemouth. There will be added pressure on him to play well, as Newcastle edge closer to a deal for Marc Guehi.
First start for Lloyd Kelly against his former club
Geordie Boot Boys are predicting a second change at the back for Newcastle United, with Lloyd Kelly coming in for Lewis Hall.
The latter started in the first game of the season, but it was not his best performance. An early booking hindered the £28million man, and he was replaced by Kelly for the final 20 minutes.
With Newcastle playing away from home, Howe may opt to make his side a bit more solid and harder to beat, and that is why we predict that Kelly will take Hall’s place at left-back.
It would be a first Toon start for Kelly, and it would come against his former club after leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.
Elsewhere, Tino Livramento is expected to continue at right-back ahead of Kieran Trippier.
Jacob Murphy starts after early sub in Newcastle opener
There will be no changes in the Newcastle midfield. Joelinton was outstanding against Southampton, while Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff also performed well.
There will also be no changes in attack, but Howe will be hoping his front three can have more of an impact when the Magpies take on Bournemouth.
Newcastle’s gameplan versus Southampton was scuppered by Schar’s early red card, and it resulted in Jacob Murphy being substituted early. Murphy saw the funny side of only playing about 20 minutes after the game, and will get another chance to start on Sunday.
He will join Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak in attack – two players who were uncharacteristically quiet last week.
Predicted XI vs Bournemouth: Pope; Livramento, Krafth, Burn, Kelly; Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.
