Paul Merson has predicted the outcome of Newcastle’s weekend trip to Wolves for Sportskeeda.
Steve Bruce’s side will travel to Molineux looking for their first win of the season after last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Watford.
And former Arsenal star Merson, who also works as a pundit for Sky Sports, sees the wait going on.

Merson’s prediction
“What a goal Raul Jimenez scored last weekend, wow! For someone who hasn’t scored a goal in a really long time to do something like that was unbelievable – he was as cool as the other side of a pillow.
“Newcastle United drew 1-1 with Watford last week and I just get the feeling that this one will end all square as well.
“When I look at Wolves and Newcastle, there is not a lot between them, so I can’t split them at the moment. I’m going for a 1-1 draw.
“Allan Saint-Maximin will cause Wolves problems, but I think this game ends level. Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Newcastle United.”

Newcastle played well for large periods against Watford but didn’t kill the game off.
Then Jacob Murphy had a golden chance to grab all three points but tried to be too cute with his dinked finish.
Wolves have had teething problems under new manager Bruno Lage but should take confidence from last weekend’s win at Southampton.
They will try and play football, which means Newcastle could get space to break into, especially if Saint-Maximin is on form.
