Newcastle United are without two of their very best players for Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Team K-League.
Indeed, Newcastle play Team K-League in Suwon as their pre-season tour of Asia continues.
Eddie Howe’s side were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal in Singapore on Sunday but did put in an improved performance following the dismal 4-0 loss at Celtic earlier this month.
Now, their tour has reached South Korea. They meet Team K-League first, before playing Premier League rivals Tottenham in Seoul on Sunday.
Here’s all you need to know about the latest confirmed Newcastle United team news, injury latest and our predicted lineup.

Newcastle United confirmed team news vs Team K-League
Sven Botman has been ruled out of the game, having suffered a groin injury against the Gunners.
The defender came off with a groin problem on Sunday and while he has avoided serious injury, Botman will not play against Team K-League.
Alexander Isak will also not be involved. Isak did not join Newcastle’s pre-season tour because of a minor thigh injury, although perhaps the ongoing speculation over his future has also played some part in his absence.
Howe has confirmed he hopes to afford Korean wonderkid Park Seung-soo a run out after the teenager completed a move to the club earlier this summer.
The club have previously expressed some hope that defender Lewis Hall will be able to play in the Korean leg of the tour as he looks to build up his fitness after an ankle injury sustained in March.
Newcastle United predicted XI vs Team K-League
There will almost certainly be changes throughout the game, although Howe will surely go strong as Newcastle look to claim their first win of the tour.
