Newcastle United continue their pre-season preparations against Arsenal on Sunday, though they will be without star striker Alexander Isak.
Isak isn’t in Newcastle United’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia as the striker continues to recover from what the club have confirmed is a “minor thigh injury”.
All of that came against the backdrop that Isak wants to leave Newcastle this summer.
Clearly, it remains to be seen whether the club cash in or not, but Eddie Howe is without his best forward for the time being at least.
Here’s a look at the confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest ahead of Sunday’s pre-season game against Arsenal.

Newcastle United confirmed team news and injury latest vs Arsenal
Isak aside, Lewis Hall is the only injury doubt for Newcastle heading into the game.
The defender hasn’t featured since suffering a foot injury in March, a problem that required surgery.
Still, Newcastle have confirmed that Hall “could feature” during the latter part of the tour, when Howe’s side will head to South Korea for games against the K-League All Stars XI and Tottenham.
Elsewhere, Howe’s side look to have almost everyone else available now Tino Livramento has returned to training after being afforded a break following England’s successful U21 European Championship campaign.
Newcastle United predicted XI vs Arsenal
Howe will likely go strong here, with his players getting some minutes in their legs during the 4-0 defeat to Celtic last week.
Joelinton was rested up in Glasgow and could be again in Singapore, but the Newcastle United manager has all of his big players available.
The aforementioned Livramento, however, may not be thrown into a starting lineup so soon after returning from a break.
Sven Botman may also be rested from the start as he looks to build up his fitness levels after so many injury problems of late.
Newcastle United predicted XI vs Arsenal: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Targett; Miley, Tonali, Guimaraes; Elanga, Osula, Gordon
